Nigerian defender Tyronne Ebuehi has made a crucial step in his recovery journey, resuming training with Serie A side Empoli after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury.

The Netherlands-born player underwent surgery to repair a cruciate ligament in his right knee and has spent months in rehabilitation. Now in the final phase of his recovery, Ebuehi’s partial return to team training offers hope for both the player and his club.

Although not yet at full match fitness, the defender’s progress is a timely boost for Empoli, who face a challenging away fixture against Inter Milan on Sunday. Ebuehi’s presence, even in limited capacity, is seen as a positive sign as the team looks to strengthen their defensive options in the latter half of the season.

The 28-year-old, known for his pace and versatility, has been a key figure for Empoli since joining the club. His potential return to action will be a welcome addition to a side eager to climb the Serie A standings.

While it remains uncertain when Ebuehi will be fully match-ready, his gradual reintegration into training suggests he could soon be available to contribute on the pitch. For now, Empoli fans will take encouragement from seeing one of their key players back in training gear as the team prepares for a crucial encounter.
