Edo Queens Coach Aduku Praises Team Performance After Thumping 5-0 Win Over Abia Angels In Season Opener

Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku, has expressed praised over the team performance, in their 5-0 home thumping win over visitors, Abia Queens, in the Nigerian Women’s Football league (NW) season opener, on Wednesday, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

 

Aduku, who revealed that the performance showed how ready her side is even as it is the first game of the season, and also further explained that Abia Angels are not a pushover side.

” Well, I think it is just the first game, but not that Abia Angels was a pushover team.” Aduku told Sportsgister.com.ng

” Because it was a good quality game against a good side, even as we won with a big margin. ”

The gaffer, however further explained that the team will continue working hard as they prepare for their Matchday 2 clash against Heartland Queens next Wednesday.

” Of course, we are going to keep on working hard and to improve more as a unit, as we prepare for our next game against Heartland Queens next Wednesday in Owerri. But for the moment, I want to say big congratulations to the girls for scoring five goals.”

He also said that the new players in the team will adapt well with time, and that a house is not build in one day.

” Yes, the team is a work in progress, because you can not build a house in one day, but gradually the new players will start to adapt well as the season goes on.”

Edo Queens will be hoping to secure her second win of the campaign, we they travel to Owerri next Wednesday, to face up against Heartland Queens, in a Matchday 2 encounter.
