Nigerian forward Ogbuehi Nzubechi Sixtus has penned a six-month loan deal with Spanish La Liga side Osasuna. The 21-year-old will initially feature for Osasuna Promesas, the club’s second team, during the second half of the season.
The deal has an option for a permanent transfer, which gives Sixtus the chance to settle down at the club. Osasuna, 11th in La Liga with 25 points, announced the signing on their official website.
Sixtus joins from La Liga 2 side CD Eldense, where he has made limited appearances this season, playing five league matches and one Copa del Rey game.
The young striker started his career with Campos FC in Nigeria, scoring nine goals in 16 games in the 2021/2022 NNL season. His rise through Spain’s lower divisions, topped by 18 goals last season, and his call-up to the U23 national team in 2023, underlined his potential.
