Abia Comets FC head coach, Okechukwu Ejeh, has revealed that the team will be ready and prepared for this weekend’s southern conference A Matchday 6 encounter against, Lagos based club, Inter Lagos, on Saturday, January 18,2025.
The clash which will take place at the Umuahia Township Stadium, will saw the southern conference A table toppers moves five points clear of second placed Warri Wolves, if they secure a win against the Lagos based side on Saturday.
While speaking shortly after their Matchday 5 away victory at Ijele FC last Saturday, Ejeh implied that the team will try to get the job done with a good performance.
” Yes, we’ll be ready and prepared for the clash against Inter Lagos this weekend, ” Ejeh told Sportgister.com.ng
“However, it is not going to be an easy game because Inter Lagos is a good side and are always difficult to play.”
“But the Boys knows what is at stake, so I have the confidence that we are going to put up a good performance which will give us a good chance of securing the maximum points. ” he concludes.
Abia Comets FC are currently leading the Southern Conference A standings on 11 points from five games, and will have the chance to extend the lead to five points with a win against the Lagos based club on Saturday in Umuahia.
