Remo Stars’ Faisal Sani Joins Al-Rustaq On Loan For The Remainder Of The Season

Remo Stars Football Club can confirm that left-back Faisal Sani has joined Omani side Al-Rustaq on loan for the rest of the 2024/25 season.
Sani joined Remo Stars from Kano Pillars in July 2024 as the first signing of the summer transfer window for the club. He had been expected to add weight to the team’s backline, considering a player who could feature both as a left-back and center-back. The 24-year-old previously featured for Katsina United and Kwara United and has earned caps for Nigeria at the international level.
Al-Rustaq was a professional club part of the Oman Professional League and finished in sixth place for the 2023/24 season. The club was founded in 1986, promoted to Oman’s top division in 2016, and since then has emerged as one of the competitive sides.
The loan deal presents Sani with the chance to acquire international experience, which will also help in Al-Rustaq’s campaign. Meanwhile, Remo Stars will have to restructure their back four in a race to secure consolidation in the Nigeria Premier Football League campaign.
The club wished Sani the best in Oman, adding that the development would benefit his career and interest of both clubs.
