Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq came on as a second-half substitution as Sevilla hold Valencia to a 1-1 draw in Saturday’s La Liga game.

The Nigerian international, who was making his first appearance in the league for Valencia, came on in the 69th minute for Hugo Duro.

He made an instant impact, winning aerial battles, and could have opened his goal account in the 77th minute, only for the Sevilla goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland to deny him.

However, the visitor netted the opening goal in the 61st minute through a brilliant goal from Luis Rioja.

The host leveled parity in the 93rd minute thanks to a goal from substitute Adrià Pedrosa
