El-Kanemi Warriors and Dadje FC battled to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round clash on Saturday.
The hosts fell behind on the hour mark, with Bless Salassi scoring for the Beninese club.
It was the first time El-Kanemi Warriors conceded a goal in a continental game.
El-Kanemi Warriors missed several scoring chances afterwards before Gimba Ajiji salvaged a draw for the Maiduguri club deep into stoppage time.
Both teams will clash in the reverse fixture next weekend.
