1. Coach training: Sevilla FC will provide expertise to enhance coaching skills in Nigeria.
2. Youth development: The club will help identify and nurture young Nigerian talent.
3. Sporting advice: Sevilla FC will offer guidance on various aspects of football development.
NPFL President Gbenga Elegbeleye visited Sevilla FC, meeting President José María del Nido Carrasco and touring the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium. Both leaders expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, citing mutual benefits and growth opportunities.
José María del Nido Carrasco: “We’re delighted to work with the NPFL, supporting their clubs’ improvement and youth development. This alliance strengthens our international presence in Africa, particularly in Nigeria, where we’ve received significant support since signing Chidera Ejuke.”
Gbenga Elegbeleye: “Sevilla FC’s track record and development strategy will greatly benefit Nigeria. Our 20 clubs with youth academies will gain from this partnership. We envision top Nigerian youth players training at Sevilla FC annually, returning home as better players. This alliance is a win-win for everyone involved.”
The NPFL delegation, led by Elegbeleye, also visited Sevilla FC’s training facilities and held initial working meetings to kickstart the partnership.
