Media Parley:Honourable Akintunde Oyebode Restates Commitment To Sports Development In Ekiti State

The sponsor of Akin Oyebode Cup In Ekiti State Prof Akintunde Oyebode has restated commitment to Sports development in Ekiti State.
It would be recalled the grassroot football tournament commenced in 2021.
The Ekiti State commissioner for Finance made this disclosure at a virtual media Parley held yesterday
He said he is being driven with passion to contribute sports development in the state and provide a platform young footballers to rise to stardom.
He specifically mentioned Muiz Oladimeji who participated in the previous tournaments who plies his trade with Beyond Limits of Ikenne and recently represented Nigeria at WAFU B U-17 held in Ghana few months ago.
He assured that the third edition would be an improved tournament.
On her part,the technical advisor to Ekiti State governor on Sports development Dr Olusola Osetoba applauded the donor for the kind gesture.
She said sporting activities will dissuade youths from engaging in crimes.
He urged the organizers to ensure that third edition surpasses the achievements of the previous tournaments.
The local organizing committee chairman Pelumi Abiara who anchored the media Parley said 16 qualifiers from the 16 local football councils in the state will participate in the main tournament.
He said measures have been put in place to curb the use of ineligible footballers
The secretary of the planning committee Tosin Popoola in his closing remarks appreciated all the stakeholders who participated in the media Parley and assured that third edition will be unique
The media Parley attracted vibrant journalists,social media Influencers, representatives from the Local Football Councils, coaches and football administrators in the state
