Confederation Cup/NPFL Preparations: El-Kanemi Warriors Unveil Nine New Players

Federation Cup Champions and Nigeria’s representatives in the Confederation Cup, El-Kanemi Warriors FC, have bolstered their squad with the signing of nine new players.
The Maiduguri-based team, under the guidance of Coach Aliyu Zubairu, plans to engage the services of a total of 13 players to strengthen the team for the upcoming challenges in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and the Confederation Cup competitions.
Coach Zubairu, who invited 13 players to join the squad, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and the agreements reached. So far, nine players have reported and completed their signing formalities. The selection was based strictly on the team’s current needs to withstand the rigors of the upcoming competitions.
The new signings are:
1. Rahman Olarewaju, central defender from Kwara United
2. Henry Ndedi, defensive midfielder from Sporting Lagos
3. Bilal Yakubu, right full-back from Doma United
4. Moyere Oluwa Suleiman, striker from Lobi Stars
5. Sunday Ajibola, striker from Lobi Stars
6. Agbo Ekoi, goalkeeper from Sporting Lagos
7. Clement Naantum, winger from Sporting Lagos
8. Muhammad Aminu, central midfielder from Kano Pillars
Five more invited players are expected to join the team shortly. All players have successfully completed their medicals, and the team is now well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
