Heartland FC Suffer Relegation From NPFL

Heartland FC have been relegated to the second division of Nigerian League (NNL) following their 4-1 loss to Remo Stars Sports Club today.
It’s the third time in the last eight years tha Naze Millionaires have been relegated from the NPFL.
The join Gombe United in the NNL in next season with two more teams expected to join them in dropping to the lower league at the end of the season.
Doma United, Sporting Lagos, Bayelsa United and Akwa United are all in the danger of joining Heartland and Gombe United.
Heartland could not turn around their slow start to the season despite picking up at some point in the season.
The Owerri club boasts of 5 NPFL trophies but will ply their trade next season in NNL
