University Of Jos Hosting Of NUGA 2024 Receives Another Boost As Facilities For Athletics, Football, Hockey, Cricket, Taekwondo, Among Others Get Contracted

The journey to hosting NUGA Games 2024 by University of Jos attained another positive milestone, yesterday, Friday May 24th 2024, with the handover of sites to various contractors.
These are for
1.The provision and installation of synthetic sandwich system athletic track (9 weeks completion date)
2.Regrassing of the football field/installation of drainage system(8 weeks)
3.Hockey field artificial grass(10 weeks)
4.Cricket field natural grass(12 weeks)
4.Re-roofing and rehabilitation of the Taekwondo Indoor sports hall (8 weeks).
The VC, University of Jos who doubles as Chairman, Local Organizing Committee, Professor Tanko Ishaya, noted that the contractors were selected via a rigorous process which rigidly adhered to due process.
He appealed to the contractors to justify their selection by delivering the projects at the stipulated time and cost ,with the required quality.
Professor Ishaya also emphasized that UniJos intends to host the best ever NUGA games.
The contractors in turn promised to do so given their track records in executing similar projects.
The goodwill message from the President of NUGA Prof Bawa was delivered by the Chairman of the sports committee, Professor Ishaya Pam.
The event was witnessed by the principal officers of the university, management staff,The President of the SUG and students,and members of the fourth realm.
