Safety Babes continued in the unbeaten streak with another important victory on Wednesday at the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 Phase 1 ongoing in Benin City, Edo State.

 

In a day 9 fixture in the women category, the defending champion sponsored by the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), defeated experienced Imo Grasshoppers 32-25 to keep them ahead of the pack on the league table.

 

In other matches of the men category, 2018 champion Plateau Peacocks defeated COAS Babes 30-20 while Rivers Queens cut off the marauding Bendel Dynamos with 21-20 victory over the host.

 

Defender Babes from the Nigeria Civil Defense earned a worked out 32-29 victory over Rima Queens while Seasider Babes of Lagos came back to winning ways following their 29-28 victory over Delta Queens.

 

In the Men category, Tojemarine Academy of Lagos extend their lead on the league table with an important 22-20 victory over Safety Shooters while Rima Strikers defeated Sunshine Kings 29-24.

 

Defending champion Niger United earned a vital 34-26 victory over Seasider Boys of Lagos as they aim to reclaim their lead of the league from Tojemarine Academy while Correction Boys comfortably defeated Adamawa Warriors 33-20.

 

Three times champion Kano Pillars and Benue Buffaloes played a 28-28 draw.
