Edo Queens this morning hammered Confluence Queens 5-1 in the opener of 2024 Nigeria Women Football League Super Six matches in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.
Emem Essien put the Edo ladies ahead after just thirteen minutes while Merit Offor latched home the leveller eight minutes later.
Goodness Osigwe restored Edo Queens’ lead two minutes later while Chioma Moses scored the third goal.
Emem Essien completed her brace in first half goal rush to give Edo Queens a 4-1 lead at halftime.
Upon the resumption of the second half,Goodness Osigwe netted her side fifth goal of the match and her second of the game.
Winners of the NWFL Super Six will be crowned champions and represent Nigeria at the continent
