Choice FC allegedly that Olukismet FC were soliciting for an easy win prior to their goaless draw on Sunday
A rejoinder released by its media officer Blessing Akinyemi reads:
“Sequel to the insinuation and allegations in circulation on the events in Akure that was unfolded day before yesterday( Sunday )that Olukismet FC are pleading for a favour from one particular club in the ongoing NLO season are mere rumours
“Let me shed more lights on this issues and make some clarification on this that Olukismet FC will never involved in such acts of desperation of manipulating matches that could put the integrity of a match or tournament into jeopardy .
“Olukismet FC will never involve in Match-fixing for the sake of getting a nod to represent its state in national for the playoff.
“The team don’t have and will never have it in mind of putting any games or competitions into disruption as the watchword of the club is to be a good ambassador for others.*
“Olukismet FC have been one of the clubs to be reckoned with in her state through the organizing of football competition at the grassroots to aid in harnessing and developing talents in Ekiti state, neighboring states and country at large through its available resources.*
“Reasons behind of putting the name of the club in the mud was because the said team involved lost it’s healthy rivalry with Olukismet FC due to the successes been recorded on and off the pitch by Olukismet FC.*
“Olukismet FC have also contributed immensely to the development of sports particularly football in the state and will continue furthering it without any regrets.*
“The team deemed fit to organize a football competition in the state which the team itself didn’t even involved in the competition to allow a level playing ground and also went ahead to scout about 55 players from the competition where those players will begin the screening tomorrow (Tuesday)*
“Despite the allegations made against Olukismet FC, the Chairman of the club*Prince OLUMIDE ADEGBOYE* went as far,to pacify the team to remain calm and remain good ambassador that even if the team do not* *qualify this year there will be another opportunity for them to try and fight harder to qualify next year, as football is meant to create love,* peace and togetherness as there’s life after football.*
“In lieu of this on the allegations made by the club which is not necessary in mentioning the name of the club for peace to reign are untrue and was based on fallacy.*
“Olukismet FC remain, ready and committed to continue to support the development of sports in the state in good and an atmospheric conditions in a spirit of sportsmanship.
