Ashysam Share Spoils with Gbenvico FC In A Friendly Game

As football clubs intensify their preparations for the Ondo State Bet9ja Football League Super 8, Ashysam FC, Igodan, one of the teams to represent Ondo South Senatorial district played a friendly match against Gbenvico FC, Igbokoda.
The match played at Ilaje High School Play Ground in Igbokoda on Sunday witnessed large turnout of football fans to watch the tactical and entertaining match.
Ashysam FC took control of the midfield but lacked scoring opportunities to convert any of their chances as Gbenvico FC goalkeeper was up on his toes.
Speaking after the match, Ashysam FC Chairman, Mr Samuel Asogbon expresses his delight over the performance of the team.
In his words, “I give thanks to God for the successful outing with injury free. I appreciate my guys for the performance put up against Gbenvico FC today. This friendly is one of the numerous friendlies we’ve played within the last couple of weeks as to know our weaknesses and strength as we prepare for Bet9ja Super 8.”
Reacting to the scoreline, “Truly I’m not fully pleased with the outcome of the match, yet that’s football. In football, you win some, draw some and probably lose some. I’m still grateful we didn’t lose the match. This is a challenge to us to go back to our drawing board and do more of our homework.”
“Ashysam FC is poised to discover, develop and promote the raw talented players at the grassroot for national and international levels. We will continue to play and participate in more friendlies, tournaments and scouting programs.” he concluded.
