Emmanuel Dennis was hero of his English Championship side Watford as his goal earned them a 1-0 win over home team Birmingham City.
He scored in the 44th minute when he capitalised on a defensive error to slot in his third goal on his return to the club.
The 26-year-old striker has played for FC Zorya (Ukraine), Club Brugge (Belgium), FC Cologne (Germany), Nottingham Forest (England) and Istanbul Basaksehir (Turkey).
He has won eight full international caps for Nigeria with a goal to show for it.
