Opeyori Anuoluwapo has won Nigeria’s first gold medal at the ongoing African Games in Ghana after defeating compatriot Godwin Olofua in the badminton men’s singles.
Opeyori has now successfully defended his title as to further cement his place as the no 1 ranked badminton player in Africa.
Adesokan Dorcas and Victor Ikechukwu, who lost to Godwin Olofua have both scooped bronze in the badminton women’s singles and men’s singles respectively.
