NNL Board Extends Resumption Of Second Stanza Off League By Two Weeks

The board of the Nigeria National League ( NNL) has announced the extension of resumption of the second stanza of it’s league by two weeks.
In a communique issued at the end of it’s board meeting held on Wednesday, February, 2024 at NERA Hotel, Jabi, Abuja, the board said it took the decision following appeals made by NNL clubs to the board to shift the resumption date for the second stanza citing players’ medicals and mid season registration as their reasons.
The communique also praised the President and the Executive Members of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) for their visionary leadership, and their continuous support to the Nigeria National League.
The board also commended the doggedness of the Super Eagles during the just concluded AFCON 2023 finals held in Cote d’Ivoire stressing that the team
deserves commendation as worthy ambassadors of Nigeria even as they noted that President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is worthy of commendation for bestowing national awards on the
Super Eagles.
The communique further extolled the high cooperation, collaboration and cordial relationship enjoyed with the club owners of the Nigeria National League, while praying for better
cooperation, support and unflinching collaboration in the second stanza of the
The Board however, promised to provide a level playing ground for
all clubs through her continuous collaboration with all relevant stakeholders as well as match monitoring .
The communique further stated that the board appreciated PROSTAR for their partnership with the Nigeria
National League and resolved to intensify their sponsorship drive
through the office of the Chief Executive Officer of the League so as to secure credible sponsors for the League.
