NNL:Wikki Tourists Continue Its Unbeaten Run,Held Zamfara United To A One-One Draw

Wikki Tourists FC has picked another away point in the ongoing Nigeria National League, nnl2023/24 season.

 

The Bauchi team shared the spoil against Zamfara United on match day 8 in the 2023/24 nnl season played at the Giginya memorial Stadium Sokoto the adopted home of Zamfara United on Saturday 20/1/2024.

 

Promise Damala opened scores for Wikki Tourists in the 55minutes when Zamfara United goalkeeper failed to grab Saidu Muhammed’s powerful shot from the centre circle and Damala capitalised on that and headed into the net.

 

Wikki Tourists got the much needed goal after missing scoring opportunities in the first half which ended in a barren draw.

 

On resumption into the second half changes were effected by both sides making the game more tactical.

 

At the 88 minutes when Wikki Tourists Supporters and bench have started celebrating an anticipated victory, then came the penalty for the home team which was converted and parity restored on the score sheet to1-1 ending the game on that note.

With the result of today’s game Wikki Tourists remained top on the table of #nnl Northern Conference C with 16points wrapping the first stanza of the League on a good note.

 

Wikki Tourists will welcome Zamfara United in Bauchi on the resume date of the second round on 3rd February 2024.
