Nasarawa State Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima has congratulated Nigeria on the well deserved victory over Cote D’Ivoire at the ongoing AFCON.
Speaking shortly after the game in Abidjan, the astute administrator revealed that it was never a doubt about his total trust in the players ability to deliver.
“I want to use this medium to first congratulate the players, Technical Crew and the entire country for the victory over Cote D’Ivoire at their backyard”.
“It was never in doubt that we will get the maximum points as the boys showed zeal, resilience and determination to come out victorious as it was a well deserved victory”.
“What is left for us is to beat Guinea Bissau on Monday and top the group, he concluded”.
After playing out a one all draw with Equatorial Guinea, Salisu Galadima was one of the few people we rally round the team by stating that Nigeria would qualify from the group.
The team went on to beat Côte D’Ivoire at the Stade Alassane Ouattara Debimpe after Poak Salonika Defender, William Troost-Ekong scored from the spot in the 55th minutes.
Next will be a game against the weeping boys of the group, Guinea Bissau on Monday evening.
