NPFL: Hammer Falls On Abia Warriors Over Misconduct

Abia Warriors FC has been handed a N4M fine following series of misconducts traced to them during their week 10 games at home to Rangers Int’l of Enugu on Sunday
According to the NPL, breached NPFL framework and rules over the poor conduct of their official in the course of the above mentioned match
Officials of the club prevented the visitors, Rangers from gaining access to the pitch before the match which leads to the fracas
Abia Warriors failed to provide enough security to the visiting team before, during, and after the match
The Aba club prevented the league official broadcast partner from recording pre-match contents. The also harassed the media crew of the league partner broadcaster. The club ceased StarTimes regional manager mobile phone in the process
The Abia State’s second NPFL club have been asked to identify the official involved in all of these for more reprimand
The brake down of the fine:
N1M for misconduct, capable of bringing the match to disrupt
N1M for failure to provide adequate security in the stadium
N2M for preventing the league partner broadcaster from producing contents
The club was asked to take caution as subsequent misconduct behaviors from them will result to stiffer penalties
They have 48hrs from the time of the notice of the fine to appeal the decision or accept the punishment
